The Fathers' Forum Associate Program is for licensed mental health professions. The Fathers’ Forum Associate Program is designed for LCSW’s, MFT’s, Ph.D.’s, M.D.’s and other licensed mental health professionals who would like to offer the Fathers’ Forum Programs as part of their private practice or community organization.
In this training led by Bruce Linton, you will learn the developmental model of fatherhood and group process for working with new fathers. You'll discover how to assess common developmental issues that expectant and new fathers encounter. You will learn how to normalize the changes that most new dads experience and how the group creates a collaborative approach to change. Topics include: understand the developmental model of fatherhood, creating opportunities for dads to access deeper emotions about attachment, group process for men, father’s group goals and limitations, building intimacy in the group, outreach and business development. There are five "modules" for the training to become a Certified Fathers' Forum Associate. Module 1: The Developmental Phases of Fatherhood. Module 2: Fundamentals of the Fathers' Forum Group Process. Module 3: Curriculum and skills for teaching the prenatal class for dads. Module 4: Skills for working with new and expectant parents. Module 5: Private Practice business development, advertising and marketing, utilizing the Fathers' Forum Programs.
